Meet the family behind Host Movers
Host Movers is a family-owned Melbourne removalist company. We’ve been moving homes and offices across Melbourne since 2017, with our own trucks and our own crew – no subcontractors or strangers turning up on the day.
How a transport company became a removalist company
We didn’t set out to move houses. The plan was a transport business starting in Melbourne, expanding across Australia, and then the world. But when the enquiries came in, people wanted furniture collected and delivered. Apartments relocated. Whole homes moved.
They told us about their last move. Removalists who didn’t call back. Trucks that turned up late, or not at all. Furniture handled carelessly. Invoices with charges nobody had mentioned.
We heard the same story so often we realised Melbourne needed removalists who’d do the careful, honest, unglamorous version of the job properly. So we changed direction.
The original dream is still alive. We’d still like to grow across Australia, and one day past it. But we have a stronger purpose now: wherever we go, we want to stay personal, responsible and trustworthy. Because whatever else changes, one thing stays the same: people trust us with their world, and we’ll continue to work to deserve that trust.

We use our own team
Every mover on your job is trained to our standards. We don't use subcontractors, so the service is consistent and reliable across Melbourne.
We quote clearly
Hourly or fixed price, with a three-hour minimum on most jobs, and a standard 30-minute travel charge. No service, depot, fuel or loading fees.
We're fully equipped
Blankets, pads, trolleys, dollies, straps and tools come with every job, at no extra charge.
We stay in touch
You'll hear from us before the day, on the day, and straight away if anything changes.
We're insured
We hold $10 million public liability cover, as well as goods in transit (GIT) insurance.

Mohammad I. Shujaa
Founder
Mohammad started Host Movers in 2017 with one hired van and a clear idea of how a move should feel: organised, honest and human. Nearly a decade on, he’s still hands-on with the team; close enough to the work to learn from every move and shape the service around what customers actually need.
To Mohammad, a move is never just boxes and furniture. Behind every job is a family, a fresh start or an important new chapter, and he wants you looked after through all of it.
Omar Tajik
House moving and team support
With two years of hands-on house moving behind him, Omar is hardworking, punctual and comfortable with the physical side of a move – the lifting, the stairs, the pace. On a job, he’s the one making sure the crew has what it needs and you feel supported from start to finish.
Omar spends his downtime on the football field and volleyball court.
Ollie Jones
Moving, packing and load planning
Ollie brings a calm, organised approach to every move. He wraps, labels and organises your belongings so they’re protected in transit, then works out how the furniture and boxes fit securely in the truck. The crew calls him the Tetris expert, because turning a mixed load into a tidy, secure fit is the part he enjoys most.
Away from work, Ollie’s usually out walking on the weekend, fixing something around the house, or testing a new barbecue recipe.
Wisem Ben
Furniture care and moving
Wisem is patient and practical, and careful with the details that keep your things safe. He wraps furniture properly, plans a safe path through tight hallways and awkward corners, and checks where each item belongs before he sets it down. The crew calls him the Final Checker, because he likes one last walk-through before the truck door closes.
Outside work, Wisem plays football, cooks for his family and is slowly working his way through Melbourne’s coffee shops.

- Furniture delivery: Single items, marketplace pickups and regular B2B and B2C delivery runs, starting at $82.50.
- End-of-lease cleaning: So you can move straight into your new life in your new home, without looking back (or scrubbing the oven).
- Storage: For when timing isn’t on your side and you need a safe and secure space for your items for a day, a week or a year.

We service the whole Melbourne metropolitan area, from the CBD out to the western and south-eastern growth corridors. That takes in the inner suburbs, the north, the east and the south-east, and the western growth corridors – from Carlton, Richmond and St Kilda through to Brunswick, Essendon, Footscray, Werribee and Point Cook. We also move to regional Victoria and beyond.
We run trucks from depots in Melbourne’s CBD and the Truganina, so we’re rarely far from wherever you’re moving.
