We quote from a video
An hourly rate tells you what an hour costs. But with so many variables impacting the time required to complete your move, like distance, access, door widths, quantity and type of belongings, that hourly rate gives no reliable indication of the final price.
Three minutes of filming means:
- The price we quote is the price you pay, so long as what we quoted on hasn’t changed.
- We send the right truck and the right size crew the first time.
- We know what your concerns are and can accommodate them on move day.
No scheduled walkthrough, no long and complex forms, with everything organised around your schedule, not ours.
How to film your walkthrough
We’re not looking for studio quality. You don’t even need to get in front of the camera. Just hold your phone steady, walk slowly and talk to us while you film. If you already have keys to the new place, film that too. If not, tell us the address, the floor and whatever you know about parking and lifts, and send the agent’s listing photos or floorplan if you have them.
Start outside
Film the street, the driveway and where you think a truck could park. Point out any low branches, bollards, speed humps or height-limited parking.
Keep filming as you walk the path from there to the front door, including gates, steps, garden beds and anything a two-person lift will need to carefully navigate.
Walk through every room
Corner to corner, top to bottom. Slowly enough that we can see the furniture, the boxes and how much is in there. No need to tidy up first – moving is a stressful time and we’ve seen it all.
Show us the narrow hallways, the tight staircases, the low doorways – anything that might impede an easy move.
Open cupboards and drawers
Everything inside your cupboards and drawers needs to be packed, carried and unloaded, and a single box can be the difference between a small truck and a large one.
Open and film your wardrobes, kitchen cupboards, the pantry and linen press. Don’t forget your bathroom vanities, laundry, garage, shed, and storage cages and cupboards.
And everything else
The balcony, courtyard or backyard, as well as any extra storage spaces you have under the house, down the side, or in the roof.
What to record for an end-of-lease clean quote
For a fixed quote on an end-of-lease clean, slow down and zoom in on some of the finer details. You can send this as a separate video or include it in your walkthrough.
For this video, we’re specifically looking to see:
- Inside the oven, plus the racks, grill, stove and exhaust or rangehood
- The shower screen, the grout, the bath and the exhaust fan.
- Inside every cupboard, wardrobe and drawer.
- Windows, tracks, sills, blinds and flyscreens.
- Carpets, especially stains, marks and pet areas.
- Walls and skirting boards, especially any marks you already know about.
- The balcony, courtyard, garage floor and any outdoor paving.
- Anything you’re concerned about or that your property manager has flagged.
Tell us what we can’t see
Talk over the video or send us a text with it telling us:
- What’s not coming. Furniture you’re selling or leaving behind (e.g. for a furnished rental).
- What’s going somewhere else. A second drop-off, a storage unit or a couch heading to a family member across town.
- What needs pulling apart. Bed frames, wall units, treadmills, trampolines, the wall-mounted TV.
- What’s heavy, fragile or awkward. A piano, a pool table, a safe, a full fish tank, artwork, or a fridge that only just fits through the door.
- Hard rubbish you want taken away. Point the camera at it and say so, so we can price the tip fees properly.
- Anything you’re worried about. The glass cabinet from your grandmother, the neighbour who blocks the driveway, the body corporate that only allows moves before 4pm.
- Your dates. The day you want to move, the day you have to be out, and anything locked in like a settlement or a final inspection.
Clearing out for a fresh start
Have unwanted items or hard rubbish to dispose of? We can handle that for you too. Council tip fees are charged by item and weight, so show us what needs removing and we’ll calculate the cost and add it to your quote.
The only limit is what the tip will accept. A few things need specialist disposal rather than the tip, so if you’re not sure about something, film it and ask. We’ll tell you either way when we send you the quote so you’re not scrambling for a solution on move day.
How to send us your video
Text or WhatsApp us your video, along with what you’d like quoted on, the suburbs you’re moving from and to, and the dates you’re planning to move. We’ll be in touch with a quote within 1 business day.
If something about your move changes between the quote and the day – more furniture, a different address, an extra stop – tell us and we’ll re-price that part.

Frequently asked questions about our fixed quote moving services
Our quote is fixed for everything we can see in your video and everything you’ve told us about. If you live in an apartment building, we may specify that the quote is contingent on you organising lift access for move day with building management.
Video walkthroughs for fixed quotes usually only take 2-3 minutes – longer if you’re requesting a quote for an end-of-lease clean as we need to see more details. If your video is much longer, that’s ok too. We’d prefer to have all the details than guess at what’s in the corners you missed.
Send us the address, the floor (for apartments) and whatever you know about parking, lifts and stairs. Listing photos or a floorplan can also help us plan to execute your move efficiently ahead of the day.
Yes. Film the property, tell us you only want an end-of-lease clean, and we’ll price that on its own.
Yes. Film the office the same way you would a house, showing us inside storerooms, comms cupboards, individual offices and meeting rooms.
We can take anything your council tip will accept. If something needs specialist disposal, we’ll discuss options with you before quoting.

No. We’re not looking for cinematic quality or judging you on your home and belongings. Your video simply serves as a way for us to scope the job and provide you with a clear, fixed-price quote so you can be confident there won’t be any surprise surcharges on the day.
We’ll delete your walkthrough video once the job’s done, or straight away if you decide not to go ahead.
Your walkthrough videos will never be shared with others or used for marketing or promotional purposes.
